Job summary

Glenbard Township High School District 87 seeks a Forensics and Debate Assistant Sponsor at Glenbard West to supervise student clubs, manage elections and certify results. You will train officers, review candidates, and ensure proper governance of organizations throughout the school year.

The role requires coordinating with APSS and the Activity Director, approving announcements and events, and maintaining accurate records and compliance with district policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys and electronic media.
• Ability to write professional communications.
• Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all elections and certify results.
• Approve candidates for club offices; screen for disciplinary issues.
• Train officers and members in handling offices and club operations.
• Submit constitution or charter for new organizations to APSS.
• Approve club announcements, meeting dates, activities, flyers, etc.
• Attend meetings, social events and fund-raisers.
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Submit forms and reports per Student Activities Handbook.
• Coordinate with APSS for smooth club operation.
