Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, WA is seeking an Assistant Bursar responsible for student accounts, tuition and fee billing, payments, scholarships, financial aid disbursements, refunds, and reconciliations.

The role works closely with Financial Aid, Enrollment Services, and Finance to ensure accurate, timely student financial activity and adherence to university policies while providing professional and compassionate service to students.

Qualifications

• Education requirement: associate degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• Experience requirement: three years in student accounts, accounts receivable, accounting, financial aid, banking, or another related financial/administrative function.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Manage student accounts: tuition/fees, payments, credits, scholarships, financial aid, adjustments, and other transactions; research discrepancies per policy.
• Process financial aid disbursements and student refunds; coordinate with Financial Aid and ensure accurate postings.
• Post and reconcile payments and deposits; maintain documentation and support month-end/year-end close.
• Assist with reconciliation of balances and provide data for audits and reporting.
• Deliver high-quality student service; address inquiries with accuracy, empathy, and confidentiality.
