Job summary

Augusta Technical College seeks a Director of Student Accounts to manage complex accounts, reconcile ledgers, and oversee billing activities. The role reports to the Vice President of Administrative Services and aims to deliver accurate financial information and timely statements.

Responsibilities include balancing AR between PeopleSoft and Banner, training staff, issuing refunds, ensuring course fees and insurance are attached correctly, and preparing GAAP entries and year-end reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, public administration, or related field with 3 years of full-time experience.
• Experience with GAAP and governmental accounting.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of Banner, Georgia TeamWorks Financial System, and Workday is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Balance accounts receivable between PeopleSoft and Banner.
• Process refunds.
• Train, assign, and direct work of staff while providing guidance.
• Prepare and process 1098-T’s for annual student reporting.
• Prepare and submit financial reports as needed.
• Assist with year-end closing procedures and GAAP entries.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, public administration, or a closely related field
