Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; degree in finance, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Experience: Three (3) years of related work experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with ability to explain financial matters clearly.

Responsibilities

• Student Account Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date student financial records in compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
• Billing Assistance: Address billing inquiries, explain charges, and assist students and families in understanding their financial obligations.
• Payment Processing: Receive and process student payments, ensuring accuracy and timely application to accounts.
• Financial Counseling: Provide guidance on payment plans, scholarship disbursements, and financial aid options.
• Communication: Correspond with students, parents, and relevant campus departments through email, phone, and in-person meetings.
• Conflict Resolution: Handle student account disputes and billing discrepancies with diplomacy and professionalism.
• Data Entry and Reporting: Accurately input financial transactions into the system and generate reports as needed.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about relevant federal and state regulations pertaining to student accounts and financial transactions.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in the finance, registrar, and financial aid offices to ensure seamless student services.
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of student account processes and suggest improvements to streamline operations.
