Florida Atlantic University seeks a Coordinator for Student Accessibility Services in Boca Raton, FL. This role assesses needs of students with disabilities, reviews documentation, counsels on accommodations, and ensures approved support is provided.

The position requires master’s (or BA with experience), strong communication, and the ability to work with faculty to implement accommodations. Occasional evenings and committee work are included.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or Bachelor's with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience interpreting disability documentation (DSM-5/ICD).
• Counsel students on disability-related issues and academics.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload of students and review disability documentation.
• Meet with students to determine and grant academic, housing, and ESA accommodations.
• Assist students with academic concerns and course-related issues.
• Maintain case notes for each interaction.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on disability issues to students, faculty, and staff.
• Participate in weekly case review and monthly staff meetings.
• Serve as SAS liaison on Student Affairs and FAU committees.
• Perform special projects and job-related duties as needed.
