Job summary

University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking an Accommodations Coordinator within the Disability Center to implement accommodations for students with disabilities, coordinate notetaking, alternate formats, communication access, and accessible furniture. You will train student employees and collaborate across campus to ensure efficient services and confidentiality.

The role includes managing eligibility, providing support sessions, and working with faculty and vendors on captioning and adaptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities in higher education settings.
• Knowledge of ADA/504/FERPA and relevant disability services laws.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate accommodations and review office processes for efficiency.
• Manage notetaking, including recruitment, training and supervision of note-takers.
• Coordinate communication access, including captioning and interpreting services.
• Oversee acquisition, distribution, and maintenance of accessible furniture and equipment.
• Supervise student employees and manage the full employment cycle.
• Handle temporary accommodations through interactive student processes.
