Job Purpose
American Products is currently seeking a stud welder to join our team! We are growing rapidly, and are looking for dedicated, hard-working people seeking career opportunities. We offer 100% paid tuition, a generous paid time off package and a safety-first work environment.

This is for 2nd Shift

Our welders play an important role on the American Products production team. Their primary purpose is to weld our world-class equipment enclosures with 100% precision.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

1. Understand and follow all company procedures for safety.
2. Inspect work pieces to conform to customer specs.
3. Follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
4. Discern quality of parts and materials used in production.
5. Test finished products for defects.
6. Maintain the tools used to create products.
7. Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; not required

Specialized Knowledge and Experience

• Stud Welding is a plus but not necessary
• Ability to use a tape measure
• Quality oriented
• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, shop floor documentation, customer specifications/diagrams, instructions provided by supervisors/managers.
• No experience is required, but the successful candidates must have the mechanical aptitude to manufacture parts with high quality.
