Job summary

Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. in Northbrook, IL is seeking a detail-oriented Sample Lab Planner to coordinate daily activities within our Shared Technical Services (STS) Sample Lab.

You will report to the STS Sample Lab Manager and balance workload across Sample Compounding, Shipping, and Inventory to meet customer needs. You will develop schedules, prioritize requests, use ERP to manage materials and inventory, and partner with flavor R&D, quality, and sales to ensure on-time fulfillment

Qualifications

• Two years of college coursework or five years of related experience.
• Three+ years in production planning, scheduling, supply chain or related operations.
• Experience with ERP/WMS; Microsoft Dynamics 365 required; Batch Metrics preferred.
• Associate degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain daily sample compounding and shipping schedules based on customer demand and priorities.
• Manage and prioritize domestic sample requests from submission through production and shipment.
• Use ERP planning systems to generate material requirements and monitor inventory.
• Maintain planning, inventory, and production data while ensuring data integrity.
• Monitor sample usage trends and flavors to support inventory and quick response.
• Coordinate with multiple teams to keep work moving efficiently.
• Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and SOPs; maintain training materials and process docs.
• Investigate and resolve planning, scheduling, inventory and workflow issues.
