Job summary

Bell Flavors & Fragrances, Inc. in Northbrook, IL is seeking a dependable Utility Technician for the Sample Lab.

You will support shipping/receiving, inventory control, sample compounding, and related administrative tasks within a fast-paced lab and warehouse. You will collaborate with R&D, QA and Production, weighing ingredients, preparing samples, and scheduling compounding orders while maintaining safety and GMP standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years in warehouse operations, inventory control or shipping/receiving.
Basic lab weighing, sample prep and material-handling knowledge.
Ability to follow batch sheets, work instructions and SOPs precisely.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and inventory or sample-tracking systems.
Strong organization, time management and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain safety/GMP compliance.

Responsibilities

Pick, pack, label, document, and ship samples domestically and internationally.
Maintain accurate inventory through replenishment and cycle counts.
Receive, move, stage, store, and replenish lab materials.
Prepare samples by weighing ingredients and operating lab equipment per procedures.
Assist in fulfilling flavor sample requests and schedule compounding orders.
Collaborate with R&D, QA, Production and other teams to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain a safe, clean, organized and compliant work environment.
Perform other duties as needed.
