Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Spanaway, WA is seeking a Combat Vehicle Mechanic to maintain, troubleshoot and retrofit Stryker family vehicles. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to support contracts and customer requirements.

You will install retrofit kits, diagnose issues, and adhere to safety standards, while coordinating with teams in a fast-paced field environment. This role requires U.S. citizenship and ability to travel CONUS/OCONUS as needed.

Qualifications

• High School / GED required; an Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 3–5 years’ mechanic experience on tactical/combat vehicles; Stryker experience preferred.
• Military wheel-vehicle mechanic training preferred; field experience acceptable.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; able to travel CONUS/OCONUS; access to military installations.
• Able to work in confined spaces and in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Install retrofit kits according to instructions provided.
• Perform scheduled maintenance to extend vehicle life per IETM and upgrades.
• Handle unscheduled maintenance, corrective action, and urgent repairs.
• Troubleshoot systems including mechanical, electrical, and software aspects of Stryker vehicles.
• Adhere to OSHA, ANSI, ASME standards and FAR compliance; maintain safety and administrative duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
