Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Washington state is seeking a Combat Vehicle Mechanic for the Retrofit department. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnose issues, and retrofit Stryker family vehicles.

Responsibilities include installing retrofit kits, ensuring safety compliance, and supporting field and facility maintenance. A high school diploma is required; 3–5 years in tactical vehicles with Stryker experience is preferred. Travel CONUS/OCONUS is possible.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of mechanic experience on tactical vehicles; Stryker experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel CONUS/OCONUS and to work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install retrofit kits per provided instructions.
• Perform scheduled maintenance per manufacturer IETM to extend vehicle life.
• Execute unscheduled maintenance and address emergent issues promptly.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electronic, and software systems on Stryker vehicles.
• Maintain safety per OSHA/ANSI/ASME standards and FAR compliance.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
