Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a Structures MRB Engineer to operate in Savannah, GA. The role requires leading complex engineering projects, determining solutions for nonconformances, and ensuring dispositions across all aircraft structures (wing, fuselage, empennage) in a production-driven setting.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in engineering, 13+ years in MRB or related fields, and proficiency with CATIA V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• Thirteen years of dedicated Structures MRB engineering experience; advanced degrees may credit up to 2 years for a Masters and 4 years for a PhD.
• Experience creating and justifying engineering dispositions for nonconformances of composite and metallic aircraft structures.
• Experience covering all aircraft components (Wing, Fuselage, Empennage).
• Experience in a Production or schedule-driven environment; aircraft modification experience is a plus.

Johnson Service Group is looking for Structures MRB Engineering to work in Savannah, GA.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 13 years dedicated Structures MRB Engineering experience at a recognized Aerospace Manufacturer. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD.
• Experience should include creation and justification of engineering dispositions for nonconformances of composite and metallic, pressurized and non-pressurized aircraft structures.
• Experience should include all components of the aircraft (Wing, Fuselage, Empennage).
• Experience should be in a Production and/or schedule-driven environment. Aircraft modification experience a plus.
• Capability to analyze and rapidly design repairs based on equivalent strength/stiffness of surrounding structure while in a schedule driven environment.
• Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be computer literate (such as, but not limited to: Catia V5, Solumina, SmarTeam, Corridor, Word, Excel).
• Multiple Shifts available. Shift will be discussed during interview. Periodic weekend OT required.

Position Purpose: Works on engineering projects containing critical problems, the solution of which requires major technological advances and extensive related development

Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions

1. Responsible for an entire engineering project of major complexity within established scope.
2. Makes technical decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on extensive engineering activities.
3. Applies advanced technical principles, theories and concepts based on broad expertise or unique specialized knowledge.
4. Leads the development of innovative principles and ideas.
5. Acts independently to determine improved methods and/or procedures to optimize technical product, cost and schedule requirements.
6. Works under consultative direction; uses independent judgment to accomplish objectives.
7. Develops standards and guides for diverse engineering activities.
8. Conceives and plans investigation of broad areas of importance for which engineering precedents are lacking in areas critical to the program.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related curriculum applicable to the respective job position required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 13 yrs specific technical discipline or 15 yrs broad eng experience in several technical disciplines with Bachelors. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters and 4 yrs for PhD in fields applicable to this job.
