Qualifications

  • High School or GED required.
  • A&P license or structures experience a plus; repairman certificate may substitute for A&P.
  • 2-3 years of aircraft structures experience preferred.

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes, including repairs, modifications, and fabrication of structural parts.
  • Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and repair drawings to determine repair methods and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Use hand and power tools to cut, drill, assemble, and install structural components in aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites.
  • Inspect for damage, corrosion, and wear; take corrective action to restore structural integrity.
  • Complete documentation and maintenance records to comply with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Responsibilities
  • Performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on airframes, including minor and major repairs, modifications, and fabrication of structural parts.
  • Interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and repair drawings to determine repair methods and ensure compliance with manufacturer and regulatory standards.
  • Using hand and power tools to cut, drill, assemble, and install aircraft structural components, working with materials such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and composites.
  • Inspecting for damage, corrosion, and wear, and taking corrective action to restore structural integrity.
  • Completing documentation and maintenance records to comply with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • High School/GED
  • A&P or structures experience a plus, or repairman's certificate may substitute for A&P
  • MRO experience preferred
Experience
  • Generally, 2-3 years of experience in area of responsibility working on aircraft structures.
  • Able to use tech data and aircraft drawings to locate part numbers and accomplish repairs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Aircraft materials and components: Understanding the properties and uses of metals, alloys, composites, and plastics used in aircraft structures.
  • Structural design principles: Familiarity with aerodynamics, stress analysis, fatigue, and load requirements.
  • Repair and fabrication methods: Knowledge of welding, riveting, cutting, and drilling techniques.
  • Aircraft systems: Awareness of related systems like landing gear, fuel tanks, and flight controls.
  • Regulations and Safety: Understanding FAA regulations, aviation safety codes, and industry standards.
  • Blueprint and schematic reading: Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and blueprints accurately.
  • Precision measurement: Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools to meet tight tolerances.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for fabrication and repair.
  • Inspection and analysis: Ability to detect corrosion, fatigue, and structural damage using inspection tools and techniques.
  • Problem-solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving structural issues.
  • Communication: Effective communication with team members and other departments to coordinate repairs and ensure safety.
  • Attention to detail: High accuracy in following repair schemes, identifying defects, and ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Physical dexterity and stamina: Capability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks at heights.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn new procedures and adapt to evolving technologies and regulations.
  • Teamwork and independence: Can work both independently and collaboratively, depending on the task requirements.
  • Safety Focus: Consistent adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks.
Working Conditions/Environment/Special Requirements
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
  • Employees will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
