Job summary

Ciorba Group, Inc. is seeking summer interns for 2027 to gain hands-on civil engineering experience.

Selected students will be paired with a licensed engineer and participate in both office and field work across our Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, and Indianapolis, IN locations. Interns should be rising sophomores, juniors, or seniors pursuing a Civil Engineering degree, or recent graduates planning to start a Master’s program.

Qualifications

• A rising sophomore, junior, or senior in an accredited civil engineering bachelor’s program or a new graduate planning to start a Master Program in civil engineering.
• Fundamental understanding of engineering concepts.
• Strong technical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Some experience with CADD, other engineering software and previous work experience will be a plus.

Over the years Ciorba Group has created and refined a robust Internship Program that provides students pursuing a Civil Engineering degree with the opportunity to gain knowledge and work experience related to the career that they want to pursue after graduation.

We are actively recruiting interns for the summer of 2027. Interns can work out of the following office locations: Chicago, IL, Peoria, IL, Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be paired with an experienced engineer and will build essential, hands‑on skills that will complement those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition to a professional career. Engagements will consist of office and fieldwork, and it is common for interns to get involved with a variety of projects. Our goal is to provide interns with a broad, well‑rounded learning experience to relate within their field of study and to get involved in teamwork.
