Compensation: $90,000 - $130,000 / year

As a Bridge Engineer, you will support the engineering design of structures, provide top‑of‑the‑industry engineering services verified through a rigorous QC process, and build relationships with team members and clients using cutting‑edge technology and innovation to design infrastructure that will last.

Core Responsibilities

Design or check retaining walls and other structural components in support of roadway or site civil projects
Prepare structure type selection studies
Work in cooperation with bridge staff to deliver PS&E contract documents on time and within the project budget for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs
Perform bridge designs and load ratings using spreadsheets, finite element software and/or other bridge software
Assist the local team to establish and maintain client relationships; coordinate and communicate with clients to ensure project design objectives are met and achieve client satisfaction
Assist in building a strong regional presence for the firm in transportation‑related structural engineering

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

B.S. degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s with a structures emphasis a plus)
Passed P.E. exam (Registered P.E. a plus)
3–7 years of experience
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microstation
Strong self‑initiative to meet client deadlines
Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
Experience working in a bridge design team
Manage project data files from various sources
Proactive and responsive communication with colleagues and clients, both in‑person and virtually/remotely
Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion
Capable of working independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks with competing priorities
