Job summary

Inter-American Development Bank seeks an active graduate student for a Winter Internship with the Structured Partnerships Team in Washington, DC. This paid internship (40 hours per week) offers on-the-job learning in development work and corporate management within the IDB Group, spanning January 16 to March 15, 2027.

Applicants must be enrolled in an eligible graduate program and able to work full-time during the internship period.

Qualifications

• Active graduate student in a relevant field with graduation after the internship period.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of another Bank language is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration and client-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Bloomberg concepts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support in identifying and developing strategic partnerships to mobilize private capital for the SDGs in LAC.
• Assist evaluation of existing partnerships to improve impact across IDB projects.
• Research and analyze new financial instruments and partnership opportunities in IDB member and non-member countries.
• Support development of partnerships with public/private sector, including risk analysis for due diligence.
• Contribute to communications materials, publications, intranet content, and event support.
• Undertake other activities as assigned by internship supervisor.
