Job summary

Camas School District is seeking an educational paraprofessional to assist students with literacy interventions and data tracking within LAP programs. The role involves one-on-one and small-group instruction, implementing word recognition strategies, and coordinating with teachers and specialists to support Tier I/II literacy objectives.

Required AA degree or equivalent, with BA preferred, and training in structured literacy.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent credits is required or passing the Paraprofessional Praxis.
• BA/BS degree is preferred.
• Training in evidence-based structured literacy (e.g., LETRS, Orton Gillingham, IMSE) is required or preferred.
• Experience with educational software and classroom reading interventions is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in achieving grade-level objectives through LAP/Title programs.
• Implement instructional support for word recognition and literacy interventions.
• Support data entry and management for student records and progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to provide Tier I/II reading support.
• Assist with DIBELS screening and progress monitoring.
• Maintain Lexia files and materials.
• Participate in professional development and paid trainings.
