Job summary

Richmond County School System in Augusta, GA seeks a Literacy Support Coach to help implement Georgia DOE literacy goals in elementary schools. This GaDOE-funded, annual position supports K-3 teachers, analyzes data, and coordinates school-wide literacy plans to raise reading levels by end of third grade.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Elementary Education or related field, with a Master’s preferred, and experience in instructional coaching, curriculum design, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, Special Education or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Advanced preparation in instructional coaching through Coaching Endorsement, Teacher Leader Endorsement, or equivalent preferred; or 3 years instructional leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist principals and leadership with aligning literacy systems, processes, and resources to structured literacy as defined by Georgia Early Literacy Act.
• Provide regular data reports to districts and stakeholders.
• Support K-3 teachers with a school-wide literacy plan and monitor implementation.
