Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a contract Cable Technician for a Raleigh, NC onsite assignment. You will pull, dress, and label cabling per TIA/EIA standards and initiate RJ45 terminations with guidance. You will also assist in labeling, cable identification, and basic punch-downs under supervision.

This role runs on first shift (with 2nd shift and overtime possible). Pay ranges from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour and eligible benefits may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life and disability

Qualifications

• Termination/punchdown
• Construction Experience
• Has not worked in the META center in last 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Pull, dress and label cabling per TIA/EIA standards.
• Begin RJ45 connector and patch panel terminations with guidance.
• Assist in labeling and cable identification.
• Learn and perform basic punch-downs for telecom blocks.
• Support cable testing using basic tools (Fluke, EXFO) under supervision.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
