Work Context
Work Setting

We run communications cabling in a variety of local businesses, including hospitals, offices and new construction sites. Conditions can vary widely by location/job.

Job Hazards

Daily use of ladder 6-8 ft. Occasional use of taller ladders or scissor lift. Daily use of basic hand tools such as drills, sawzalls. Other hazards vary based on customer sites, including debris above ceiling tiles, attic or basement crawlspaces that can run small, hazards introduced by companies working in the same vicinity on a construction site, etc. While our managers strive to maintain high safety standards, we cannot be everywhere at once. We rely on every single technician to be aware of their surroundings and walk away if any location or situation becomes risky.

Physical Requirements

Job requires the ability to lift 50lb, stand/walk the majority of the workday, navigate small spaces, reach above for extended periods, see full color (Colorblindness makes it nearly impossible to terminate cable correctly).

Work Attire

Dress requirements of this job will vary slightly by location. We encourage employees to 'dress for your day'. Local business offices - presentable jeans and polo or similar. New construction or similar - Steel-toed boots, safety glasses & hi-vis vest required; jeans and a t-shirt/hoodie. Three company polo shirts are provided following new hire probationary period.

Impact of Decisions

Lead technicians, in conjunction with project manager, need to be able to decide cable paths for maximum efficiency and minimal disruption to customer site. Helpers are encouraged to be engaged in these conversations.

Benefits

- The starting salary for this position is $18-23/Hr. The salary offered will depend on qualifications, experience, and business needs. We offer paid holidays and time off as well as company-sponsored health insurance plans.

We are an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, veteran status, or any other status protected by applicable law.
