Job summary

Henkels & McCoy, Inc. seeks a technically adept Technician to support structured cabling projects across Baltimore and surrounding areas. You will install cabling systems, read drawings and specs, and ensure high-quality workmanship while maintaining safety on site.

The role requires 2–4 years of cabling experience, willingness to travel regionally, and the ability to lift heavy loads. You must have own tools; certifications are a plus. Union employer offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of structured cabling experience required.
• Fiber optic cabling experience preferred/not required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry 25 lbs.
• Must have own tools.
• Occasional overtime and out-of-town travel may be required.
• Able to read and interpret drawings, floor plans, specifications and cut sheets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain job site productivity and safety.
• Install structured cabling systems and perform testing/troubleshooting.
• Mentor installers and direct a crew of 2-4.
• Read drawings and ensure compliance with specs.
• Travel to multiple Maryland locations (and DC/VA).
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
