Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking dependable Cable Technicians to support growing commercial installation projects in Tulsa and Northeast Oklahoma. The role focuses on structured cabling installations, including pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling in commercial environments.

This contract position offers consistent full-time hours with potential to convert to permanent employment. Onsite work in Tulsa, OK, with a diverse pipeline of projects and opportunities to gain hands-on experience in

Qualifications

6+ months of experience in structured cabling, low-voltage installation, electrical, telecommunications, or related field work.
Experience pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
Experience working on commercial construction or renovation projects.
Basic understanding of low-voltage systems and wiring standards.
Reliable transportation to project sites.
Ability to lift equipment and materials and work in active construction environments.
Must possess basic hand tools, including Snips, Crimpers, Screwdriver set, Punch-down tool.

Responsibilities

Pull, route, and secure Cat5e/Cat6 cable in commercial environments.
Terminate and test structured cabling systems.
Install cable pathways, cable trays, and support systems.
Assist with rack-and-stack activities and network equipment installations.
Install wireless access points (WAPs), A/V systems, and related low-voltage equipment.
Read and follow project drawings, specifications, and installation standards.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule.
