Job summary

Merc Audio LLC is seeking a Structured Cabling Installation Technician to join our field team in Los Angeles. You will review blueprints, install low voltage cabling (CAT5e/6/6A, fiber, CCTV, paging), build telecom rooms, terminate outlets, and support project managers to complete installations.

You will work with others, learn quickly, adhere to safety standards, and be able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and operate cable supports. Overtime may be available.

Qualifications

• Punctual and prepared to work each day.
• Able to climb ladders and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Read and understand construction documents and plans.
• Knowledge of low voltage cabling types (CAT5e/6/6A, fiber, coaxial) is preferred; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in infrastructure installation and review blueprints/floorplans for installation requirements.
• Install low voltage cabling (voice, data, CCTV, paging, etc.).
• Build-out telecom rooms.
• Work with the installation team on project layouts and designs and determine efficient methods to complete installations.
• Provide quality work and post-project quality control.
• Terminate outlets and telecom rooms.
• Install cable supports, sleeves, and related materials.
• Install end point devices.
• Adhere to all safety standards.
