• Active BICSI RCDD certification is required.
• 5+ years of structured cabling design experience.
• 2+ years supporting hyperscale, enterprise data centers, telecom, or colocation environments.
• Strong expertise in Fiber Optic Infrastructure (SMF/MMF) and MPO/MTP cabling.
• Experience coordinating with network engineering and MEP teams.
• Knowledge of spine-and-leaf architectures, optical loss budgets, and fiber characterization.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect structured cabling systems including SMF, MMF, MPO/MTP, and Cat6/Cat6A infrastructure.
• Develop detailed design packages including floor plans, rack elevations, pathway layouts, and splice diagrams.
• Create and manage BOMs, SOWs, and project estimates.
• Perform cable tray calculations, fill ratio analysis, load assessments, and bend radius reviews.
• Coordinate with MEP teams for integration with cooling and facility systems.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with BICSI, TIA/EIA, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards.
• Support global data center deployments and capacity expansion initiatives.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structured Cabling Design Manager to lead the design and delivery of physical layer infrastructure for large-scale hyperscale data center environments. This role is responsible for architecting scalable fiber and copper cabling systems that support next-generation cloud and enterprise infrastructure deployments.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in structured cabling design, data center infrastructure, and cross-functional coordination with facilities, network, and MEP engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect structured cabling systems including SMF, MMF, MPO/MTP, and Cat6/Cat6A infrastructure.
• Develop detailed design packages including floor plans, rack elevations, pathway layouts, and splice diagrams.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), Scopes of Work (SOWs), and project estimates.
• Perform cable tray calculations, fill ratio analysis, load assessments, and bend radius compliance reviews.
• Coordinate with MEP teams to ensure seamless integration with cooling, containment, and facility systems.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure compliance with BICSI, TIA/EIA, IEEE, NEC, and NFPA standards.
• Support large-scale global data center deployments and capacity expansion initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Active BICSI RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) Certification

5+ years of structured cabling design experience

2+ years supporting hyperscale, enterprise data center, telecom, or colocation environments

Strong expertise in:

• Fiber Optic Infrastructure (SMF/MMF)
• MPO/MTP High-Density Cabling
• Data Center Physical Layer Design
• AutoCAD
• Revit

Experience coordinating with network engineering and MEP teams

Knowledge of spine-and-leaf architectures, optical loss budgets, and fiber characterization

Preferred Qualifications

• BICSI DCDC Certification
• CDCP Certification
• Experience supporting AWS, Microsoft, Google, Meta, or other hyperscale providers
