The Jessamine County School District seeks NES Highly Structured Behavior Classroom Instructional Assistant/Para Teaching Asst for the 2067-2027 school year in Nicholasville, Kentucky. Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic classroom subjects and safe practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly with students, families and staff.
• Strong interpersonal skills with tact and courtesy.
• Ability to perform routine clerical duties and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with school policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Tutor students in small groups or individually and track progress.
• Assist as part of an instructional team including remediation efforts.
• Prepare and organize lessons; administer and score tests as directed.
• Monitor and report student behavior and progress.
• Perform routine clerical duties and maintain records and attendance.
• Set up work areas, materials, equipment and distribute supplies.
• Assist with labs, inventory, and student supervision during activities.
• Communicate with teachers and parents as needed.
• Ensure health and safety practices are followed.
