Job summary

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is seeking a Structures Maintenance Technician to perform bridge and structure maintenance in the Fort Pierce, FL area.

This full-time position involves a variety of roadway construction and maintenance tasks in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of related experience, strong reading of plans, and a willingness to operate construction tools safely.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year of related bridge/structure repair and maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of plans and specifications for structures.
• Ability to operate construction tools safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Structure Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations for local bridges and structures in the Fort Pierce, FL area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to roadway construction and maintenance and adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Clean driving record is essential

Must pass criminal background check.

Required Experience

Minimum 1 year of related experience in bridge/structure repair and maintenance

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Full bilingual Spanish/English


• Roadway maintenance or construction skills


• MOT Certifications Advanced


• General knowledge of reading/understanding plans and specifications for structures


• CDL license preferred, but not required

Qualifications

• Must have transportation to and from Company office


• Ability to take direction


• Produce quality work in an efficient manner


• Agree to comply with all of our safety processes and procedures


• Willingness to maintain and operate construction tools in a safe and proper manner


• High School Diploma/GED


• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)


• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations


• Carry out simple arithmetic functions


• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job


• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology


• Ability to use smart phone and applications


• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule, work overtime, nights and weekends


• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions


• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds; strenuous manual labor may be required


• Ability to operate hand/power tools

Schedule:

Full-time. Must be flexible and available to work on-call when required. Day shift & Night shift needed.

Salary

Depends on experience, licenses, and certifications.
