Qualifications

• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is mandatory.
• Extensive knowledge of structural steel welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS D1.1).
• Minimum of 3 years of welding inspection experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of structural steel welding to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Review welding procedures and specifications; provide guidance to welding personnel.
• Perform visual, dimensional, and destructive testing as required per protocol.
• Document inspection findings and maintain detailed records.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to ensure project execution.
• Provide timely reports and recommendations highlighting deviations from standards.
