Job summary

TKO StaffPros in Corinth, MS is seeking skilled Welders and Fitters to support the fabrication of structural steel components in a fast-paced shop environment. You will read blueprints, set up and weld to approved procedures, operate fabricating equipment, and ensure quality and safety while meeting production goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience reading engineering drawings, performing welds per procedures, and working with MIG/TIG/SMAW/FCAW processes.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and welding symbols required.
• Must pass onsite weld test.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, SMAW, or FCAW preferred.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 70 lbs.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to work overtime or weekends.
• Basic math and measurement skills required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and layout specifications to determine material requirements and task sequences.
• Position, align, fit, and weld structural steel components using jigs, welding torches, hand tools, and layout equipment.
• Tack-weld fitted parts and complete welds according to approved weld procedures and quality standards.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses for fit-up and preparation.
• Verify conformance of workpieces using squares, rulers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, or cutting to ensure proper weld penetration and fusion.
• Use clamps, jacks, hoists, and rigging equipment to position and secure large assemblies safely.
• Follow all company safety regulations, wear full PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with moving steel components using overhead cranes or forklifts.
• Perform basic math, measurement, and layout tasks with accuracy.
