CTR Group is seeking experienced MIG/TIG Welders in the Bremerton, WA area to work in a shipyard environment. Traveler's Welcome! Pay Rate: $32 per Hour Plus $178 Per Diem for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of related welding experience, with NAVSEA-related experience preferred.
• Possesses standard tools for a welder.
• Able to work different shifts.
• Must have knowledge of shipboard spaces and weld symbols/DWG interpretation.
• Must pass FCAW, 2G, 3G & 4G wire qualifications.
• Must pass SMAW 6G Pipe certifications and SMAW 6G Pipe 309 stick.
• Must pass GMAW 2G/3G/4G aluminum and GTAW 2G/3G/4G aluminum.
• Must pass GTAW 4F/5F RN67(CUNI) and 316/70S2 stainless, carbon steel, and related codes.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and safely operate a torch.
• Knowledge of WAFs and ability to follow instructions.

• Safety First! SUMMARY: The Welders are responsible for accomplishing work in accordance with work specifications safely, with the highest quality and in a professional manner. POSITION DEMANDS (Education/Training/Experience) High School diploma or equivalent education. Minimum of 5 years of related experience, with at least two years being NAVSEA-related experience. Possesses standard tools for a welder. Able to work different shifts. Must have good knowledge of ship board spaces. Must have knowledge of weld symbols and general DWGs. Must pass FCAW, 2G, 3G & 4G 71T1 .045 wire. Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 11018 “stick”. Must pass SMAW, 6G Pipe, 309 “stick”. Must pass GMAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series. Must pass GTAW, 2G, 3G & 4G aluminum 5000 & 6000 series. Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F RN67(CUNI). Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F 316 (Stainless Steel). Must pass GTAW, 4F & 5F 70S2 (Carbon Steel). Must pass GTAW, 6G RN625 on Carbon Steel pipe (open root). Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to safely hook up and operate a torch. Must have knowledge of WAFs. Must be able to follow instructions and work well with others. Ability to gain access to local bases.
