QPS Employment Group is hiring a Welder II for a company in Waukesha, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st or 2nd shift. Wage is $43,680-$66,560 per year, with shifts 6:00am-2:30pm, 2:30pm-10:30pm, or 12:00pm-8:00pm.

Responsibilities include welding large structural assemblies, fitting, and travel to customer facilities as needed. The Welder II will interpret blueprints, select materials, and set up fixtures, while maintaining safety and quality standards and mentoring junior welders.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certificate in welding or metal fabrication preferred.
• 5+ years TIG and MIG welding experience in structural/heavy fabrication preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints and assembly processes.
• Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and material-handling equipment.
• Must comply with welding procedures and safety standards.

Mansioni

• Layout, fit, align, fabricate, and weld large structural assemblies.
• Perform advanced fitting and structural welding with minimal supervision.
• Travel to customer facilities for installation, maintenance, or modifications.
• Operate welding equipment including TIG, MIG, orbital welding, and plasma cutting.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine tolerances and methods.
• Mentor junior welders and ensure final inspection and quality approval.
