Job summary

Austin Engineering USA is seeking skilled Structural Welders to fabricate and repair heavy mining equipment. You’ll work on truck bodies, buckets, cable reels, and water tanks, upholding top quality and safety standards.

The role involves GMAW-P/MIG and FCAW welding, in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions, with training and progression through the welder ladder from Welder B to Master Welder.

Qualifications

• Experience with GMAW-P (MIG) and FCAW welding.
• Ability to pass a structural welding test.
• Experience using air arc and oxy-fuel cutting equipment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMAW-P (MIG) and FCAW welding on heavy structural components.
• Weld in horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Operate air arc equipment, oxy-fuel torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
• Inspect completed welds and repair defects as needed.
• Read and follow welding procedures, drawings, and supervisor instructions.
• Safely operate overhead hoists and handle heavy materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
