Oklahoma Steel & Wire is seeking skilled welders to join our construction team, performing structural and fabrication welding in both shop and field environments. You will weld steel components using MIG and/or stick techniques and assist with framing and steel erection on various projects.

Candidates should read and interpret blueprints, work with heavy equipment, and maintain safety at heights. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a strong focus on quality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Proven welding experience in structural or industrial settings (MIG and/or stick welding).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and weld symbols.
• Experience in framing and general construction preferred.
• Equipment operation experience required (certifications a plus).
• Comfortable working at heights and in all outdoor conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Must be able to lift 75+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural and fabrication welding in shop and field environments.
• Weld steel components using MIG and/or stick welding techniques.
• Assist with framing, steel erection, and assembly of metal structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols to plan operations.
• Operate power tools and heavy equipment, including forklifts and manlifts.
• Work safely at heights with proper fall protection and harnesses.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area.
