Job summary

Holtec International is seeking a Welder for heavy plate fabrication in our Manufacturing Division in East Pittsburgh, PA. You will perform FCAW and GTAW welds on carbon steel and stainless steel from detailed drawings and WPS, upholding safety and quality standards.

You should have 2–4 years of welding experience, reading blueprints, and familiarity with AWS standards. The role requires multi‑process welding capability and willingness to work overtime as production demands.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years welding experience in heavy plate manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Proficient with FCAW and GTAW on carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Able to pass FCAW weld tests in 2G and 3G positions.
• Able to read blueprints, weld symbols and technical docs.
• Knowledge of AWS standards; ASME Section IX preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding safely in compliance with Holtec safety policies and PPE.
• Prepare, position, align, and fit materials per drawings and WPS.
• Execute FCAW and GTAW welding in multiple positions with high quality.
• Meet visual, dimensional, and X-ray inspection standards for welds.
• Use measuring tools to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
• Set up and operate FCAW, GTAW, SAW, and plasma arc systems.
