Job summary

IMI Industrial Services Group in Athens, GA is seeking a full-time Welder / Fabricator to join our fabrication team. You will align, fit, and weld metal parts according to blueprints and specifications.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience with NCCER certification or related training and can TIG weld stainless. Proficiency with fabricating machines and hand tools is expected.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years' experience
• NCCER certification or completion of a related program through an accredited technical school.
• Must be able to TIG weld for stainless.

Responsibilities

• Align and fit parts per specifications using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars and hammers.
• Tack-weld fitted parts and weld to form complete units following blueprints.
• Set up and operate fabricating machines such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders, and drill presses.
• Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes.
• Move parts into position with hoists or cranes and position or tighten clamps and fixtures.
