Job summary

Cleaver-Brooks in Thomasville, GA is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for first-shift work. You will read blueprints, lay out and weld structural metal components, and perform precise fabrication following specifications.

Safety and quality are paramount as you complete ASME certification tests on schedule. Ideal candidates have technical training or six months of welding experience, strong measurement skills, and a commitment to producing high‑quality work in a fast-paced industrial

Qualifications

• Welding and fabrication experience to meet blueprints and process specs.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret process sheets accurately.
• ASME welding certification tests completed within the required timeframe.
• Safety-focused, detail-oriented, and dependable in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, lay out, position, align, and fit structural metal components according to blueprints and specs.
• Safely operate cutting torches and perform carbon arc gouging as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and process sheets to ensure correct fabrication.
• Use measuring devices to ensure proper fit and accuracy in assemblies.
• Perform welding and fabrication using established techniques and quality standards.
• Complete required ASME welding certification tests within the established timeframe.
• Follow all plant safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• All other duties as assigned.
