Job summary

Savard Group in Kenner, LA seeks a Structural Welder to join our team. You will perform stick, structural and flux core welding on heavy steel components for bridges, buildings and pipelines. The role requires reading weld symbols and working with steel beams, columns and frames.

Shifts Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM; long-term contract. This position offers stable work and the chance to contribute to large-scale industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Must be able to weld Stick, Structural and Flux Core.
• Must be able to pass a 1G, 2G, and 3G Test.
• Will be welding Structural Steel, metal plate fabrication and industrial welding.
• Will weld steel beams, columns, and frames to build safe skeletons for large structures such as buildings, bridges and pipelines.
• Must be able to read weld symbols.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt components.
• Cut, fit and align steel beams, columns and plates.
• Weld components in flat, vertical or horizontal positions.
