Job summary

Ameri-Force, Inc. is seeking a Structural Welder in the San Diego, CA area. The role requires hands-on welding across various positions, setup of welding rigs, and adherence to blueprints and work orders. You will operate in a safety-conscious environment with standard company protocols.

Candidates must have 3-5 years of journeyman welding experience and be prepared to complete a 3-5 day hands-on welding test. Local and non-local pay structures apply with per diem options for non-local workers.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years journeyman welding experience required.
• Able to pass hands-on welding test (3-5 days).
• Open to work any shift.
• DBIDS eligible.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding per blueprints, sketches, or work orders.

Full Job Description

• Gap plate test in G2 through G4 positions.
• Welders must show they can confidently set up welding rigs.
• Flux core test, core pass and layers.
• Must show they can start and stop weld path.
• Must take a ceramic back tape test and weld simulation.
• Fillet welds in G2 to G4 as well as a watertight collar with a tight radius.
• Applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, or repair parts of metal or other weldable materials. Works from blueprints, engineering sketches, charts, or work orders.
• Lays out and marks points on parts or sub-assemblies using rule, square, scribe, or templates.
• Positions pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools.
• May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• 3-5 years journeyman level welding experience required.
• Must be able to pass hands on Welding Test (3-5 days of testing)
• Must be open to work any shift.
• DBIDS eligible

Pay-

Local- $44hr

Non Local- $28hr and $180 per diem (days worked)
