Ameri-Force is hiring a Welder (FCAW) for 1st shift in Palatka, FL. This hands-on role involves inspecting, finishing, and repairing welded steel cylinders used in large-diameter pressure pipe systems. You will work with FCAW welds and be part of a team focused on quality and safety.

The position offers overtime opportunities, on-site testing, and comprehensive benefits. Experience with FCAW required; familiarity with SMAW or SAW is a plus. Overtime is available based on production needs.

Qualifications

Welder (FCAW) – 1st Shift

Palatka, FL | Full-Time | Overtime Available

Ameri-Force is hiring Welders for a leading steel pressure pipe manufacturer in Palatka, FL. You’ll inspect, finish and repair welded steel cylinders used in large-diameter pressure pipe for water transmission, sewer and penstock systems. This role suits a hands‑on welder who takes pride in quality work and wants steady hours with overtime opportunities.

Schedule

• 1st shift
• Overtime and Saturdays based on production needs

What You’ll Do

• Perform weld repairs to applicable specifications
• Back gouge and back weld
• Cut with oxy-acetylene
• Grind and finish welded surfaces
• Inspect welds and identify defects
• Measure and document repairs accurately
• Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures
• Maintain quality and production standards

What You Need

• FCAW welding experience
• Ability to pass a 3G FCAW weld test with back gouge and back weld
• Ability to produce welds that consistently meet quality and inspection standards
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, measurements and specifications
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

• SMAW (stick) experience
• SAW (SubArc) experience

Work Environment

This is a hands‑on manufacturing position in an industrial environment. The work area may be loud, dusty and not air-conditioned. You must be able to:

• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Climb ladders and work at heights
• Stand, bend, kneel and work in various positions for extended periods
• Work safely around welding equipment, machinery and other industrial equipment

The Weld Test

Qualified applicants will complete an on‑site weld test as part of the hiring process.
