Job summary

Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking an on-site Associate Mechanical Technician for the Structural Test Lab. You will assemble and operate test machines to verify helicopter components, maintain documentation, and support lab procedures.

You will interact with engineers and other labs to fulfill program requirements, perform acceptance tests, and ensure tasks meet budget and schedule. A hands-on technician with tools, drawing literacy, and mechanical experience fits well.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate or technical training preferred.
• Own mechanics hand tools and ability to use effectively.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, reports, specifications, and engineering instructions.
• Lift 25 lbs and stand for long shifts.
• Initiate and maintain open communication with multiple groups or teams.
• Prior mechanical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct, assemble, install, checkout and operate test machines per lab procedures.
• Maintain records and documentation; assemble/install helicopter components.
• Perform acceptance tests, proof loading, and calibrate data sensors.
• Complete tasks within budget and schedule as defined by Manager, Test Technicians.
• Interact with test engineers and other lab technicians to fulfill program requirements.
• Coordinate with other departments to support tests across labs.
