  • Experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques, and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal, as applicable.
  • Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi‑locks.
  • Must have own tools in good working order.

As a Structural Technician II, you will be responsible for more complex assembly tasks and part-fitting operations. You will work more independently, taking on larger components and ensuring precise assembly in accordance with technical specifications. This intermediate role builds on foundational skills and introduces greater responsibility in project execution and quality assurance.

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn‑key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently assemble larger structural components and systems.

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Required to be on your feet for most of the work shift.
  • Use of hand and power tools requiring hand/finger dexterity.
  • Exposure to noisy and potentially hazardous environments; proper safety gear must be worn.
  • Ability to travel may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $26.39 - $36.29. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
