Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Senior-level Bridge Engineer to lead bridge projects for roadway and interstate systems in Georgia and the surrounding region.

You will work on a range of bridge design projects, including suspension, cable-stayed, arch, and other bridge types, directing design and construction documentation while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 10+ years of design, design-build or alternate project delivery experience on bridge highway infrastructure.
• Steel and concrete bridge design experience is essential.
• Experience with bridge design for roadway systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bridges are designed per federal, state, and local requirements and AASHTO LRFD specs.
• Develop structural designs for single/multiple spans, RC, prestressed concrete, and steel bridges.
• Prepare specifications, data sheets, and construction documents.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Drafters and engineers on the project.
• Mentor junior engineers and interns and support team collaboration.

Job Description

Parsons is now hiring a Senior-level Bridge Engineer with a desire to work on bridge projects for roadway and interstate systems in the State of Georgia and the surrounding region. This is an exciting opportunity to work on various bridge engineering and design projects, ranging from mid to large design and design-build projects. These projects may include suspension, cable-stayed, arch, truss, cantilever, beam girder bridges - both steel and concrete.

Responsibilities

• Assure that the bridges are designed in accordance with approved Federal, State, and local agency requirements as well as AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, practices, and procedures.
• Deliverables may include structural designs for single span, multiple spans, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, precast concrete, and steel bridges.
• Provide structural specifications, estimating, quantity calculations, technical reports, and detailed engineering analyses.
• Complete a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
• Prepare and issue specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• Provide technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and interns, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
• May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Salary Range: $112,200.00 - $196,400.00
