Job summary

Parsons is hiring a Senior or Principal Bridge Engineer in Indianapolis to join our growing transportation team. You will lead major regional infrastructure projects, provide technical guidance, and design bridges in steel and concrete across various spans.

Ideal candidates have a BS in civil structural engineering, 8+ years of bridge design experience, and a P.E. certification. DOT experience and CAD/CONSPAN proficiency are desirable. We offer strong benefits and opportunities for growth.

• BS degree in civil with structural emphasis or structural engineering is required.
• 8+ years of bridge design experience on highway bridge infrastructure.
• Steel and concrete bridge design experience is essential.
• DOT experience is desirable.
• Working knowledge of CAD, CONSPAN, steel design software, and/or other structural software.
• P.E. required.

Responsibilities

• Assure that the bridges are designed in accordance with approved Federal, State, and local agency requirements as well as following accepted industry practices and procedures.
• Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.
• Provide leadership expertise to more junior level engineers.
• Structural designs for single span, multiple span, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, precast concrete, and steel bridges.
• Provide structural specifications, estimating, quantity calculations, technical reports, and detailed engineering analyses.
• Completes a variety of assignments such as drawings, specifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes.
• Prepares detailed requisitions for equipment and materials as needed.
• Reviews supplier drawing submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
• Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
• May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.

Salary Range: $88,400.00 - $154,700.00
