Job summary

Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Supplier Quality Representative for the Central Texas Iron Works site in Schertz/San Antonio, TX. This full‑time role covers supplier surveillance, inspection planning, and nonconformance resolution for structural steel fabrication.

The candidate should have 4–5 years of QA/QC or supplier quality experience, strong drawing/spec review skills, and familiarity with codes and supplier documentation. Travel to supplier shops is required.

Qualifications

• Two years of related experience involving 2,000 hours of in‑shop surveillance, examination, or testing activities.
• High school diploma or equivalent and 1,000 hours of in‑shop surveillance, examination, or testing activities.
• Associate Degree, or two years of full‑time college coursework in a related discipline, plus 500 hours of in‑shop related experience in equivalent inspection, examination, or testing activities.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company as the supplier’s primary contact and performs quality surveillance.
• Verifies supplier‑furnished material and equipment conform to procurement documents and codes.
• Collaborates with supplier and project personnel to disposition nonconformances and release conforming material.
• Reviews supplier documentation for conformance, including MTAs, heat records, and NDT reports.
• Verifies that sub‑suppliers are disclosed, qualified, and controlled; reports findings.
• Prepares surveillance reports and maintains records in company systems.
