Job summary

Zalk Josephs Fabricators LLC is seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to ensure quality and compliance across our structural steel projects. You’ll perform daily visual and dimensional inspections, administer welder certifications, and evaluate weld tests to uphold our quality standards.

You will read fabrication drawings, review QA procedures, and coordinate NDT inspections with external inspectors while maintaining our QA Manual to meet AISC accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting structural steel and welds.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily visual and dimensional inspections of structural steel.
• Maintain welder certification testing per AWS D1.1.
• Administer and evaluate weld tests.
• Read and interpret fabrication shop drawings.
• Review and update company control processes, procedures, and specifications.
• Perform testing of structural bolts per RCSC.
• Coordinate and work with outside customer inspectors for NDT inspections.
• Maintain Quality Assurance Manual to meet AISC accreditation standards.
