Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Structural Steel QC Inspector for a contract-to-hire arrangement on the first shift. The role focuses on hands-on inspection of structural steel fabrication, welds, materials, and coatings to ensure quality and code compliance.

You will verify work against AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, and AISC standards, maintain QC logs, calibrate tools, and support welder qualification and training while collaborating with production teams on quality issues.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of structural steel fabrication experience.
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, and AISC standards.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings/specifications.
• Experience using inspection/measuring equipment: Fillet weld gauges, V-WAC gauges, squares, tape measures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect structural steel fabrication, welds, materials, and coatings for quality and compliance.
• Verify work against AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, and AISC standards.
• Check incoming materials and welding consumables for conformance.
• Document inspection results and maintain QC records.
