Job summary

Gilder Search Group is assisting a growing structural steel contractor in Irving, TX to hire a Structural Steel Project Manager. You will oversee projects from preconstruction through installation, including structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and rail systems valued from $500k to $2M.

The role requires strong experience in structural steel erection, reviewing drawings, coordinating fabrication and field operations, and delivering projects on time and under budget.

Qualifications

• PM experience in structural steel erection projects.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, fabrication, and erection drawings.
• Experience managing RFIs, RFPs, submittals, and revisions.
• Experience coordinating fabrication, delivery, and field installation.
• Procore or MS Project proficiency; multiple projects managed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings across phases.
• Review docs and verify drawing accuracy.
• Manage RFIs and RFPs throughout project lifecycle.
• Coordinate fabrication, delivery, and field erection.
• Develop and update project schedules.
• Track costs, schedules, and progress to stay on budget.
• Utilize Procore or MS Project for scheduling and document control.
