Integrated Structures Corp. is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to lead fabrication and erection projects across New York City, Long Island, and surrounding regions.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in structural steel project management, a strong background with the MTA or public agencies, and the ability to drive projects from award through detailing, fabrication, erection, and closeout while maintaining schedule, safety, and profitability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading structural steel projects in public works or transit sectors.
• Experience collaborating with public agencies such as the MTA is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from award through completion.
• Coordinate shop drawings, engineering, procurement, fabrication, delivery, and field erection.
• Control schedules, budgets, costs and overall profitability of projects.
• Coordinate ironworkers, cranes, subcontractors, vendors and field operations.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts, and project scope; manage RFIs and submittals.
• Identify and track change-orders; liaise with MTA, public agencies, and owners.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and project specifications, and closeout tasks.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to manage fabrication and erection projects throughout New York City, Long Island, and the surrounding region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with the MTA and other public agencies, with experience managing structural steel, civil, transit, infrastructure, and public works contracts.

This is a hands-on position responsible for taking projects from contract award through detailing, fabrication, erection, and final closeout while maintaining schedule, quality, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel projects from award through completion.
• Coordinate shop drawings, engineering, material procurement, fabrication, delivery, and field erection.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, costs, and overall job profitability.
• Coordinate ironworkers, cranes, trucking, subcontractors, vendors, and field operations.
• Review structural drawings, specifications, contracts, and project scope.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, extra work, and project documentation.
• Identify, price, negotiate, and track change-order opportunities.
• Coordinate directly with the MTA, public agencies, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and owners.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety requirements, and quality-control standards.
• Manage punch-list items and project closeout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural steel project management experience preferred.
• Strong background working with the MTA is highly preferred.
• Experience with public works, transit, civil, bridge, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Experience managing budgets, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Knowledge of AISC/AWS requirements, prevailing-wage projects, and public-contract documentation is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel, Bluebeam, Procore, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software preferred.

We are looking for a hands-on Project Manager who understands both the fabrication shop and the field and can take ownership of complex structural steel projects from start to finish.
