Job summary

RK Industries, located at our Corporate Headquarters in Aurora, CO, seeks a Purchasing Agent to manage the full purchasing lifecycle for structural steel materials, equipment, and services to support project schedules and shop operations.

You will source, negotiate with vendors, issue POs, coordinate deliveries, and assist Accounts Payable while ensuring compliance with buying agreements and project specifications. Strong organizational, analytical, and ERP skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in purchasing or ERP systems (IFS and/or Vista by Viewpoint) is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end purchasing activities from requisition to purchase order issuance to support project schedules.
• Source materials, equipment, services for projects and operations while ensuring compliance with vendors and buying agreements.
• Obtain competitive pricing through bids and negotiate cost, lead times, and terms for best value.
• Collaborate with project teams to align purchases with specifications, budgets, and schedules.
• Coordinate deliveries to job sites and fabrication shops; track back orders and expedite as needed.
• Maintain accurate supplier and item data; verify pricing changes and new part numbers.
