Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a seasoned Structural Steel Plant Manager to oversee production across two facilities and two shifts in Gallaway, TN. You will lead production supervisors, manage safety, equipment, maintenance, scheduling, quality, and on-time shipments while driving continuous improvement.

The role manages about 65 employees with growth toward 90, reporting to senior operations leadership. A proven track record in large-scale fabrication and strong leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of structural steel fabrication experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or production.
• Thorough knowledge of AWS D1.1; CWI certification preferred but not required.
• Experience in an AISC-certified shop or manufacturing environment.
• Experience managing large, heavy, and complex fabrication projects.
• Working knowledge of SSPC and ASTM coating requirements.
• Strong communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to anticipate production issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• U.S. work eligibility.

Starting Salary: $80,000/year, with higher compensation available based on experience

Position Overview

Seeking an experienced structural steel fabrication leader to oversee production across two nearby facilities and two shifts. This role provides hands-on leadership to production supervisors while maintaining accountability for safety, equipment and facility maintenance, productivity, quality, scheduling, and on-time shipments.

The position oversees approximately 65 employees, with planned growth toward 90, and approximately 5-6 direct reports consisting of department and shop supervisors.
