Qualifications

• Ability to perform layout, measurement, and basic algebra/geometry.

Responsibilities

• Reads and interprets blueprints and plans the fitting operation.
• Directs and assists in handling and assembling material according to drawings.
• Lays out work lines or fits up jigs; checks connections and marks locations.
• Welds, burns, copes, bevels and straightens material as needed for assembly.
• Cleans up material by grinding or chipping; maintains a clean work area.
• Adheres to safety rules and PPE requirements.
